• YouTube – DJ Mugss Vs GZA – Exploitation of Mistakes – Muggs ha la sua Soul Assassins Radio, sulla stazione losangelina 92.3 The Beat KBBT, e progetti con gli oramai inossidabili Cypress. Durante il 2002 il DJ prepara anche un progetto interamente solista dal titolo Dust, il disco viene pubblicato l'anno seguente, riaffermando il valore dell'artista, che nel 2004 pubblica anche The Last Assassin, compilation realizzata con l’aiuto di Chace Infinite. Vi partecipano artisti come i Cypress Hill, Proof dei D12, Xzibit, Busta Rhymes ed altri. Muggs fa parte anche del poco conosciuto gruppo dei Soul Assassins, ha uno show radiofonico sulla radio satellitare Shade 45 chiamato Mash-Up Radio. Ed il suo più recente lavoro è la collaborazione con GZA, che ha prodotto The Grandmasters.
• YouTube – DJ Muggs vs. GZA – General Principles – Muggs però non si ferma ai Cypress e lavora ad altri progetti paralleli: tornato a New York si occupa della produzione del trio irlandese House Of Pain, il cui singolo di debutto è l’hit internazionale Jump Around, diventato doppio disco di platino. Muggs collabora con moltissimi degli artisti di primo piano di inizio anni 1990: Produce brani per Ice Cube, Xzibit, Goodie Mob, Supercat, KRS One, Van Halen, Beastie Boys, George Michael, Janet Jackson, Salt-n-Pepa, Goldie, Tricky.
• YouTube – DJ Muggs – Third World ft GZA n RZA – La sua prima esperienza è nel 1989 quando vince il titolo come miglior DJ della West Coast. Ritorna al lavoro da beatmaker acquistando una drum machine con i soldi risparmiati. Sen e B-Real rimangono affascinati dai suoni prodotti da Muggs, influenzati dall’hip hop newyorkese. Poco tempo dopo nascono ufficialmente i Cypress Hill, che esordiscono nel 1991 con l’omonimo album. Il progetto si rivela un successo, catturando l’attenzione di tutto l’underground nazionale e poi del mainstream.

• YouTube – Saul Williams – List of Demands – By 1995, he had become a open mic poet and, in 1996, he won the title of Nuyorican Poets Cafe’s Grand Slam Champion. The documentary film SlamNation follows Williams and the other members of the 1996 Nuyorican Poets Slam team (Beau Sia, Mums da Schemer and Jessica Care Moore) as they compete in the 1996 National Poetry Slam held in Portland, Oregon.
  The following year, Williams landed the lead role in the 1998 feature film Slam. Williams served as both a writer and actor on the film, which would win both the Sundance Festival Grand Jury Prize and the Cannes Camera D’Or (Golden Camera) and serve to introduce Williams to international audiences.
• YouTube – DJ Krust & Saul Williams – Coded Language – Saul Williams (Newburgh, 1972) è un poeta, predicatore, attore, rapper, cantante e musicista statunitense, considerato una delle più incisive voci dell’hip-hop.
  Asceso alla ribalta internazionale con il film Slam, dove interpreta sé stesso come slamista, ovvero poeta che prende parte alle competizioni/performance di slam-poetry o poetry-slam, Saul Williams è da sempre molto attratto e attaccato al mondo della musica (sua madre lo partorì in seguito a frettolosa uscita da un concerto di James Brown, nel 1972).

• YouTube – Gangstarr feat. M.O.P – Half and Half – Ha fatto parte dei Gang Starr fin dal 1987, prima che nel gruppo arrivasse DJ Premier. Guru si è costruito una considerevole reputazione nei primi anni Novanta, con alcuni dei primi album dei Gang Starr divenuti dei classici, come Step in the Arena (1991) e Daily Operation (1992). Lo stile di Guru è basato su battle rhyme eseguite omogeneamente, con modestia e spirito arguto; tipicamente evita di usare il suo carisma per prevalere, concentrandosi piuttosto sulle sue abilità nelle rime. Le sue formidabili capacità al microfono gli sono valsi innumerevoli ammiratori; il seguito di cui gode gli ha consentito di promuovere alcuni giovani rapper, tra i quali Jeru the Damaja: è citato come produttore esecutivo, insieme a DJ Premier, del debutto di Jeru, The Sun Rises in the East (1994).
• YouTube – Guru Feat. Erykah Badu – Plenty – Keith Elam, meglio conosciuto con gli pseudonimi di The G.U.R.U. (Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal[1]) o Baldhead Slick (Boston, 17 luglio 1966 – 19 aprile 2010), è stato un rapper e produttore discografico statunitense.
  È la parte vocale del duo Gang Starr, formato con DJ Premier. Con la sua serie di album Jazzmatazz è anche considerato uno dei pionieri della commistione tra jazz e hip hop. Il nome Guru è un “retro-acronimo”, cioè è stato sviluppato come fosse un acronimo in Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal (Dotato Illimitato Poeticamente Universale) e talvolta come God is Universal, He is the Ruler Universal (Dio è universale, Egli è il Regolatore Supremo).
  Entrato in coma in seguito ad un arresto cardiaco che ha avuto il 28 febbraio 2010, muore il 20 aprile 2010.
